Manage individual dogs and check stats in the dog list, and keep your buddies dogs saved and organized with the grouping system. The Alpha 300 features collar update rates varying from 2.5 seconds to 2 minutes. The TT25 and T20 collars will feature a dynamic tracking mode that automatically adjusts the update rate according to the dogs behavior! The analog, button-operated training system from the Alpha 200/200i returns on the Alpha 300. When paired with a TT25 or previous TT series collar you can use tone, vibration, and 18 levels of momentary or continuous stimulation to break, correct, teach, and train your dogs! The Alpha 300 handheld also maintains the top-notch sensor suite and toolbox you expect from any top-of-the-line Garmin hiking GPS, including a 3-axis compass, barometric altimeter, precise coordinate tracking, and much more.

Let’s cut to the chase, or perhaps more appropriately keep YOU in the chase. The Alpha 300 has an upgraded battery life that won’t give out in the middle of a hunt! It is approximately 3X the battery of previous Alpha handhelds or up to 55 hours of battery life! The Alpha 300 also features sleep mode, allowing the handheld to save battery while still staying active, and reactivating the Alpha is as simple as double tapping the screen! No need to stress if you forgot to charge your handheld or left it on overnight. Another feature highly requested is group sharing. Alpha 300 users will be able to SHARE ENTIRE GROUPS of dogs with their fellow hunters that have Alpha 300s instead of having to share one dog at a time. Dog list allows multiple groups of dogs – even if collars are inactive or interfere. Stop tracking one group and start tracking another group. Have your beagles on one group, hounds on another. Mix and match your friends’ handhelds with their dogs. The possibilities are endless!
Activate or deactivate any collar in your Dog List. When activated and tracking it shows the dog status and communication. It also lists your Dog ID, making it easier to organize you and your other dog runner’s IDs. You never have to go to your compass again to see which collars are connected with the handheld, now with a quick slide of a finger you can see it all!
Customize your training buttons. Set your defaults to add dogs in like you want them, for example: vibrate/continuous/tone or or set up individual dogs differently according to their training needs or style.
Training setup allows you to pre-set your buttons like you need them. For example you can program your top three training buttons (located above the screen) as Vibrate (button 1), Continuous (button 2), Tone (button 3). Do this so that when you add new dogs the buttons are already the way you like, or you can manually set each dog differently.
Competition timer gives you one countdown and 4 timers all in one screen. Name each individual timer so you can keep track of multiple counters at just a glance.
